The gown depicted in this design sketch by Nolan Miller was worn by Elizabeth Taylor to an event in 1984 honoring Princess Anne of England, as well as to Erte’s 90th birthday party hosted by Nolan Miller in 1985. This gown was originally to be worn by Elizabeth to the 1984 Academy Awards, but she did not attend that year.
